The Luna Bag

This bag is truly special to me. I love the crescent shape and how beautifully it complements the custom Guayu woven straps I’ve used on these bags. The intricately woven detail on these straps is a trademark artesania of the Guayu peoples. I wanted to honor their heritage and make a really great looking bag as well.

The Luna is available in a variety of colors. Straps have been hand matched to the leather which will best compliment their design and color palette.

Mune Manzur

Hello and welcome to the official Mune Manzur Handmade blog. 

 My mother and I with a purse I made her.

Mune is my nickname from childhood, short for muneca, which means doll in Spanish. Manzur is my maiden name. I decided to use these two names for my new line of purses and handbags as a way to reflect the heritage and work which goes into them.
While visiting my family in Colombia this year, I became fascinated by traditional leather craftsmanship methods in my hometown and decided to learn it as a new skill. With much practice I have learned to make purses which I consider beautiful and marry my love of leather work with my love for Colombian art, as demonstrated in personalized woven straps of the Guayu peoples of Colombia and other leather working techniques.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating these one of a kind products.
